Movement Artist

My current work focuses on sociological and psychological variables that limit and/or define the day-to-day movement vocabulary of individuals. These variables include learned gender, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and U.S. workplace expectations. I aim to explore how these factors express themselves physically in individuals as they intersect with all of the other statuses each person holds. I want to understand how aspects of identity lead to self- or societally-imposed bounds on acquaintance with one's own physicality and movement possibilities.
I believe movement is transformative in its abilities to heal, inform, and awaken all people.
